There have been many areas of our community negatively impacted by a two year pandemic. One of the areas negatively affected has been in-home preschools. To support our youngest students and their families, the governor has introduced state funding for a Universal Transitional Kindergarten program!

Over the next 5 years the Universal TK program will be phased in to full implementation. A family oriented community such as Gilroy will benefit greatly from such a program.

But to make the program a success, qualified educators will need to be hired. Nurses and Psychologists will need to have manageable caseloads to help these young learners. Use this new ONGOING funding to make teachers a priority NOW so students don't suffer later!
